I'm not all that upset about the Wells thing. Yet. My thinking at the beginning of the season ("why not just start DiNardo?") has turned out to be a major disaster. Given that none of their young lefties (DiNardo, Abe Alvarez, Jon Lester) is quite ready for starting duty in the majors, Wells is the best remaining option. As bad as he is, I'm cautiously optimistic that he won't be as bad as L-Nards has been.
Right now, I have a bigger beef (if that's possible) with Matt Clement. What a total piece of shit. And what an awful, awful signing by Theo. But hey, at least they didn't overpay for Pedro.
